The US Manufacturing PMI rose to 55.1 in May 2026, marking the strongest expansion since May 2022, driven by increased production and new orders. However, exports declined for the 11th consecutive month due to geopolitical instability and tariffs, and business confidence fell to a four-month low.

The HCOB Eurozone Manufacturing PMI, compiled by S&P Global, surveys about 3,000 private sector companies in eight countries. The PMI, a weighted average of five indices, indicates an overall increase if above 50 and decrease if below.
