PMI trend
Updated 2026-02-02 08:37 UTC

The S&P Global US Manufacturing PMI rose slightly to 51.9 in January 2026, indicating a weak improvement in factory conditions due to slow employment growth. Output growth accelerated and new orders rebounded, while supplier delivery times and inventories remained largely unchanged.

The HCOB Eurozone Manufacturing PMI rose to 49.4 in January 2026, surpassing market expectations due to a growth in production and new orders. Despite this, manufacturing employment fell slightly, and input cost inflation hit a three-year high, while selling prices dropped slightly.
