The US Manufacturing PMI fell slightly to 53.8 in July 2026, below market expectations, due to a sharp slowdown in production growth and slower inventory accumulation. This was partly offset by increased factory employment and supply disruptions from the Middle East leading to longer supplier delivery times.

The HCOB Eurozone Manufacturing PMI, compiled by S&P Global, surveys about 3,000 private sector companies in eight countries. The PMI, a weighted average of five indices, indicates an overall increase if above 50 and decrease if below.
